WIMBLEDON 2013!
I have
ALWAYS wanted to go to Wimbledon , but I tried
to obtain tickets and failed in the early registration for getting tickets.
However, this didn’t stop me as I later found out that you can queue on the day
for tickets to get into Wimbledon . If you were
in the first couple of thousand people there queuing for tickets, you could get
seats in all the courts. So armed with a flask and some food I went down and
GOT IN!!!!!
Horse
riding is something that has always appealed to me, however I am afraid of ALL
animals. That means cats, dogs and even goldfish so you know this was a big
challenge for me. So I am really proud of myself for doing it and actually want
to do it again. It was a lovely day out too.
ZORBING
Whoever invented the Zorb has to be the craziest person I know! It was so much fun!!! Running on water in a giant ball filled with air was hilarious. I ended trying to have a really good technique to stay standing up without falling over. It was
LIGHT AIRCRAFT FLYING
Yup, I flew
an aircraft! I took off with the aid of a trained pilot and dual controls in case
anything went horribly wrong and I flew! It was breathtaking! So peaceful and
smooth, it really is one of those experiences that you’ll want to do over and
over again. The controls were easy to handle, in fact a lot easier then driving
a car.
CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING
I have a big bruise on my right shoulder from where I was holding the gun. Clay Pigeon Shooting actually scared me a little on firing the first shot, but then after it was OK. I managed to hit the target a few times with the help of my trainer, but this sport is definitely not one for me. I think I’ll stick to shopping instead.
I thought that there was no way of being able to do the 30 different things on my list before I was 30 years old. This is because I believed that there was no way I would get the opportunity or have the time to do them all.
In life I think we automatically make excuses for not doing things without giving it a chance, as a way of avoiding disappointment. Since doing this task, I have experienced new things and found new hobbies which I hope to keep up.
